1. What is a Modem and how it connects your network to the internet?
The job of a modem is to connect your home or office to the actual internet.
The signal sent by the internet company (fiber, cable, phone line) cannot be understood directly by your computer.
The modem converts that signal into a computer-readable form.

Modem = translator
The language spoken by the ISP is translated into a language your system can understand.
Without a modem:
the router has no use
you cannot get internet at all

The job of a firewall is security.
It decides:
which traffic is allowed
which traffic is blocked
which traffic looks suspicious
Firewall = security guard
Everyone is checked before entering.

The job of a load balancer is to distribute traffic across multiple servers.
